Installed within the campus courtyard, the 8 foot sculpture celebrates the cougar as the school’s mascot.

The sculpture was designed around a pre-existing circular concrete pedestal. The rock was used to transition the quite large pedestal into the slender form of the cougar. The positioning of the cougar leads the viewer around the sculpture to enter the other buildings around campus. A seating ledge invites students to sit under their mascot, whose demeanor conveys both a sense of pride and warning.
